Anita (Maternity, nursing and sports bra)

 

It all began in Dresden back in 1886 when Ernst Max Helbig, great-grandfather of today's owner, Georg Weber-Unger, first set up the company. In the early years they produced elastic braces and heavy, yet also elastic, body belts. In the 60’s, Dr Christine Weber-Unger recognised the potential in creating special "nursing bras" and in designing special underwear and swimwear for pregnant women. She also saw the need for special articles to support women who had undergone breast surgery. Since then, Anita has been recognised worldwide has being one of the best suppliers of nursing and mastectomy underwear, as well as being a multi award winner in sports bra designs. They are constantly working on ways of improving their products, developing new materials and fine-tuning the perfect fit.

As a 100 per cent family-owned company, ANITA owns all of its production sites and operates these plants in accordance with the highest European standards under the management of their own staff ensuring fair wages and treatment of all of its employees.
